Landscapes

Vasilis unfolds his great dexterity in the use of colours and depth, nowhere more than in here: in his landscapes. The eyes of the viewers are directed in the deep forest, in the heart of the scenery, where the beauty is immense. The details from the reflected light and the shadows, the glittering water of the lake, the tints of the sky, the power of trees are incredibly intertwined, so much that you can feel the ambiance with incredible lyricism. Vasilis gives us a fantastic display of Greek nature.

Even without the presence of sun it can be bright, even without the present of clouds, gloomy. Here green is the dominant colour, but golden and brown autumn leaves, grey rocks and bridges, light blue lakes and rivers, even small cottages fill the scene. Vasilis paints also views of the picturesque Greek islands, the jewels of the Aegean Sea, below the blue sky, creating contrasts with the white of the cubic houses. The human presence is scarce on purpose: Vasilis loves Nature and presents it raw and unspoiled, making us to travel with our imagination to places where beauty, peace and serenity dominate.
